I didn’t get to finish either of these. They’re really weak at the mo. Gotta fab ‘em up.

Overall I think I’m pretty okay with how this came out. My prior sketch before I finished this one was pretty hideous and incorrect. Yup yup.

Yeah just scanned a random sketch of a girl I did and colored in photoshop. A really simple assignment. I didn’t really spend that much time on it. I wasn’t sure which mood or colors were best so I just combined them all on one image.

Yeah… I did this the last minute and killed it. Kind of an overdone idea too.
I was kind of satisfied with this at first because I didn’t dedicate all that much time into it for the feeling/atmosphere I was going for.   Now the more I look at it, it just gets more plain and uninteresting.

I’m gonna try to refine and add more details and then redo another version in color.

I might re-do this as a full illustration one day.

So I decided to practice a new style of coloring/rendering today.

I wanted to achieve more depth but a not too realistic feel to it.  I’m not sure if I really accomplished it because I got lazy at the end with the hair/ear/shirt. Although I like how I did the sketch better than the colored version because he looks more badass.

Before I started on the dude, I sketched this girl but I never really finished. I think it came out alright.

She looks crazy.

Now I gotta work on my manga and calendar. :<

I’ve been wanting to make something like this for a while now, but I’ve been putting it off before every new year. I’m aware its not even September yet, but I found my old sketches with my ideas for each month and I wanted to polish this one up.

The boy is a character I’ve been developing for a few years now, but nothing really came out of it since it was just for fun back then. The other thing inside the pile of leaves/bush is a chinchilla, a character I modelled after my late pet Eugene for a final project in Figure Modeling class during Fall 07. I’ve decided to put them together for a fun imaginative children’s story for the future.

To start, I’ll be making small illustrations for each month and maybe by the end of this year I’ll print them and make calendars It’ll be a fun side-project.

The first one is just a few characters for a manga I’m planning to do. Its about cashiers. :0

The second one is pretty random. I just felt like drawing something different (characters you see in those fighting games)

Last is the one I just did today, tried a different style.

On another note, I’ve been playing The World Ends With You (Subarashiki Kono Sekai すばらしきこのせかい) and just finished it a a few days ago. The characters are hilarious and the music is addicting.

Here are a couple things I’m currently working on. The first one is Justin’s original character, Krue. The second one is just a random cliche/futuristic headphones girl.

I hope I actually finish these.
